Rangers looked fucking lost last night, but the Lightning looked dead in game one. Otherwise, two close games. I like how Tampa has broadly taken control of play since the second half of game two, but as much as I'd love them to roll the next two, this series could easily go to seven.

It all depends on tonight. The Rangers need to bounce back tonight at home or this will be done in six. They don't even necessarily need to win tonight, but they need to be highly competitive at the very least.

I'm on record in this thread saying that the Avalanche look fucking formidable, but I don't think it's a fait accompli. Kuemper is a pretty average goalie with some recent vision issues, and they're most likely down Kadri for at least part of the series. They haven't faced any particularly strong opponents--they swept the weakest team in the playoffs in Round One, dispatched St. Louis after Binnington's injury, and swept another overmatched, one-dimensional team in Edmonton. They're really good, for sure, they have a lot of the pieces, McKinnon is great and Makar is on a different level. But they haven't played a full series against a goalie like Vasikevskiy (or Shesterkin, though I think the Lightning win tonight), they could easily be a bit rusty after an easy sweep and a lengthy break, and they've got some holes.
I don't think the Lightning lose at home tonight, but even if the Rangers come out of the East, I think the SCF is six games, maybe seven.

Avs have been quite good coming off extended breaks. Came out and dropped 54 shots in game one against St. Louis after a long break, and beat Vegas 7-1 after the same break last year.
Tampa/Colorado would be good hockey.

I could see this cup final going any length (4-7), but what I don't see is TB losing.

I'm stoked, I wanted Tampa to play Colorado or Vegas the last two years. This should be fun as hell.

Avs earned that one. Better team most of the game outside of a 50 second stretch in the second.
Series will be a lot of fun.

Honestly might be the worst playoff game I've ever seen Tampa play. Really terrible from top to bottom. Not hopeful for Monday.

No one is impressed with Perry. Hockey is so insane. Can you imagine anyone pulling the move Perry pulled on Comhper in any other sport?

Halfway through the second and the Lightning appear to be back in this series.
