They could try, but there's little chance (from what I've read) that they'll get a majority in the Senate, much less 2/3 of the chamber to remove him.

Huh?
In other news, I think I'm falling in love with James Comey.

True, the descriptions are fairly damning. It would take an awful lot to read the section on Flynn, and provided Comey's testimony is accepted as honest, not read that as an attempt to stop the investigation.
That being said, it's a Republican Congress, and I think that's going to overwhelm everything else.
I think there is an honest question here if Trump even understood what he was doing in those conversations. He seems to think government operates like a commercial business in Manhatten, in which such an action would be acceptable. It further illustrates his unfitness though.
I think probably the most damning part of it is him shooing Sessions and everyone else out of the room. That at least leads me to believe that he's got some idea of what he's about to ask.

I didn't expect this to be so remarkable, after the initial statement was put out there. Figured it would be just confirming same under oath.

Disappointed that Trump isn't live-tweeting this.

Assuming Trump makes it to 2020, what do we think his approval rating will be?
30%?
25%?

The exact phrasing of Trump's request -- "I hope you can let this go" -- is going to be a big problem going forward.

Wow. Comey asked a friend to share his memo with a reporter in the hopes of triggering the appointment of a special counsel.

I bet you all didn't expect to be hearing about Thomas Becket today (did the Senator say Richard II? It was Henry II).

This line of questioning by McCain is completely incoherent. It's awkward to watch.

I was also confused. I think he was basically playing to his base by trying to illustrate and/or rule out a double standard, re: Hillary's investigation vs. any investigation of Trump. But it was so poorly executed.
