Congrats, Avs fans. Didn't think it'd happen, but I'm glad it did.
Makar... What a season!

You guys didn't take seriously enough how unlikely it is to do this 3 times in a row.

I wouldn't say it is obvious that this Lighting team was better the Blackhawks, Kings or Penguins clubs that won multiple cups in the last couple decades.

I think they're better than the Kings. The other two, no, or not yet anyway. But they could easily make another run next year.

I honestly loved that Kings team. They were fun to watch.

What? That makes absolutely no sense at all.

Went full Karen after every goal against, and just whined to the officials all series. Maroon breaking his stick on Manson after the second goal and somehow getting away with it, then Stamkos seemingly shoots the puck at the refs.

Damn, you're telling me some NHL players complained about calls AND non-calls? Even banged their sticks in frustration, or shot a puck after the whistle? I've never heard of this happening before and find it very upsetting.

I do know better than to start litigating the relative maturity/morality of my favorite hockey team. Pat Maroon fucking rules, die mad about it!

Every goal against from game four on they tried to litigate. Shooting a puck at a ref is an automatic ejection and yet, they got away with it. Even the Canadian broadcast put together a montage of the Lightning trying to work the refs.
And it cost them. They came mentally unglued in game six and even after the final whistle, were still managing to yell at the refs.

Lol at Cooper saying how he would address the media the next day regarding the goal that should have been called off. Also the Maroon slash was kinda pathetic.

I have more respect for players that I view play the game with more class.
the maroon slash is whatever
but cooper is putting out a bad message. and it does matter because he is the head coach. I think bitching about the rules/officiating tends to be bad for morale.

Very pleased with the Ryan McDonagh trade. He was great for the Lightning on their cup runs but was already starting to show his age this year and that contract was an albatross.
