Man, NBA guys really enjoy screwing each other's wives/girlfriends.

Matt Barnes banned two games after confrontation at ex-wife's house

Memphis Grizzlies guard Matt Barnes has been suspended two games for his role in a confrontation with New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher earlier this year, the NBA announced Monday.

The suspension begins Tuesday when the Grizzlies face the Miami Heat. Barnes also won't be eligible to play Saturday at the Utah Jazz.

Fisher and Barnes were involved in a physical altercation in Los Angeles on Oct. 3 during a party at the home of Barnes' ex-wife. On that night, Barnes told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne that he went to Gloria Govan's home to check on his 6-year-old twin sons after receiving text messages and using FaceTime with his sons and sensing they were uncomfortable. Barnes said one of the twins told him that "Mommy's friend Derek is here."

Barnes lives about 15 minutes from his family in Redondo Beach, California. He drove to the home, where the situation between Barnes, Fisher and Govan escalated and a physical altercation reportedly took place. Police were called, though no charges were filed.

The NBA said its investigation of the incident is closed, so no punishment is expected for Fisher.

Yup. Hornacek is getting the shaft. He's a good coach, but management has made some terrible decisions. That Tyson Chandler signing was fucking terrible. Not getting rid of Markieff Morris in the off-season was a huge mistake. Hornacek wants hard-nosed players who can play defense and they gave him a bunch of lazy mid-range shooters who can't play a lick of D.

On the upside, they are basically giving away tickets.

hey verb, what do you think of the Cousins' ejection and freak out last night? Some of those fouls being called on him were pretty soft, so I understand why he was so upset.

I think people might look back on last night as the moment the Kings decided to move on from Cousins if hes traded this year. You just can't win with a guy like that.

If I'm the Kings I'd shake down Ainge yesterday for some of the first rounders the C's have stock piled.

So Bledsoe is opting to repair the meniscus. I guess its obvious the team is going nowhere this year anyway and hes already signed on a good contract.

At some point stock piled picks need to be used for something though. Im sure Opie Ainge knows that. Look at the the Sixers for example. That team is desperate for some sort of competent vet but I guess its cool to have a bunch of picks and suuuuck because:master plan
