Even Flow wasn't bad at all...it was Mind Your Manners/Got Some in addition to the others he mentioned that fucking killed the atmosphere pretty quickly...both MYM and Got Some were fucking trainwrecks last night, both in terms of actual band performance and crowd reaction (or lack thereof)

It was a very uneven performance. I don't really like Fenway as a music venue.

I could have convinced a crazy guy in my row to climb the foul pole but I didn't want him to fall down and break his neck or something.

Another crazy guy in my row showed me a video of his girlfriend flashing her tits

My section was actually really good. Normal people, everyone into the show.

I know the show length shouldn't matter but I don't think it's entitled to be frustrated when they are encouraging everybody to be in their seats by 6:30 so they can start at 8:00

Yeah it was weird, when RITFW ended me and my friend left but everybody else was still sitting and watching the stage. And Im talking like 90% of the fans.

I dunno, there aren't many bands at this level that play for as long as they do, even if they "only" do 2 hrs 40 minutes...you still got 30 songs...just shut the fuck up and enjoy it

I admittedly would have liked a longer show, but I definitely don’t think the show is ruined if it isn’t 3 hours plus.

They set their own standard, if theyre gonna do epic 3+ hour shows all the time, of course people will feel shortchanged if they get an abbreviated show. Yes its still long but they were hoping for an epic Pearl Jam show and they didnt get them at their best, seemingly because they couldn't be bothered to come onstage.

Pearl Jam’s ideal setlist length was achieved around 1998/2000, it’s been too much of a good (mileage may vary) thing ever since.

Give me a tight 25-28 set over a 35 song, somewhat sloppy, coverfest.

Good songs, shitty way to start a concert.
I’m here to say that i loved these 4 songs opening the show. It was a nice way to warm up the singing voices

From telegram.com:

“Yielding no more, Pearl Jam sonically soared into the stratosphere with "Given to Fly." With his arms wide open, Vedder figuratively took flight.”

This isn't a complaint (and isn't a brag), but I have been to 7 Pearl Jam concerts that didn't include Better Man.

Its because they didnt do ledbetter. Im sure people were expecting it to fully close out the show.

For that reason alone it's one of the relatively few songs I would not mind seeing disappear completely from sets.
