I've listened to it about ten times or so and unlike all the other lead singles in my time as a fan (since 1997), I just don't have a strong opinion of it one way or another. I'm just kind of indifferent.

Little trip down memory lane with lead singles for me....

1) Yield (Given To Fly) - This was huge for me because this was the first time as a real Pearl Jam fan that I got a new Pearl Jam song. And I liked it.

2) Binaural (Nothing As It Seems, Grievance) - Remember, NAIS was the single but they played surprised everyone by playing Grievance on Letterman. Loved both songs. I played the living hell out of that NAIS/Insignificance single.

3) Riot Act (I Am Mine) - I liked it.

4) Pearl Jam (World Wide Suicide) - I don't know what it was with this song. Maybe I was just desperate for some new Pearl Jam. But I must have listened to the digital download of this a hundred times in the first two days. Something about it just struck a nerve with me. I think it's the riff during the chorus or something....cause it's not the lyrics.

5) Backspacer (The Fixer, Got Some) - They played Got Some on Conan and I really liked it. The Fixer on the other hand is, was, and always will be the most embarrassing pile of crap they've ever made. It's like the anti- Do The Evolution. I've always felt that DTE with the accompanying music video is the best piece of art Pearl Jam has ever put out. The Fixer...and it's music video....is the COMPLETE opposite.

6) Lightning Bolt (Mind Your Manners) - Really liked it other than it's title. Mind Your Manners? Sounds like something Mary Poppins would say.

7) TBA (Can't Deny Me) - I guess I kinda like the chorus, even if there does seem to be a cheesiness to it. But the verses just don't work for me.
