The best part is Eli letting Jesse drink the piss-bourbon before telling him it had piss in it

Not feeling too good about all these flashbacks to the 2000s. That was just a few days ago, right?

You absolutely should. Goggins as Baby Billy is about as good as something can get. The whole cast, really.

Danny McBride is a genius, but he can be hard to take in large doses. Take your time.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Dr Watson smoking and jacking off may be the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.

I liked that they already tied the whole season and next ep will be the farewell to this characters. I need a full episode of that, and its going to be hard really because this one has been a favorite for me, a huge McBride fan who thought it was going to be hard for him to do something better than Kenny Powers.

But damn this series is something else really.

I also loved that they cast Sean Williams Scott to play a very cool, sensitive good guy.

Comedy-wise, this season is one of the best. Big laughs every episode.

Plot-wise, it leaves a little to be desired, but that's alright. We had 3 straight seasons with very big, cinematic stories. I guess ending with a smaller story is fine.

I do wish we'd seen some of the characters from season 3. Peter, May-May and the cousins. They were fun characters and the end of season 3 made it look like they were gonna stick around. They seem to have disappeared completely.

Maybe they’ll be at the wedding in the last episode.

What an episode! Great finale.
Spoiler: show
One line that cracked me up:
"I guess shit just got too complicated. I mean, her ex-husband trying to rape and kill us, and your kids killing her kid? That was just a bridge too far I guess."

I also loved the three siblings doing a prayer for the dying, tying it back to the season premiere and the beginning of the Gemstones empire.
I'm gonna start my rewatch of the whole show this week. I'm sad it's over but it ended really nicely.
Maybe I'll finally watch Vice Principals and Eastbound & Down too.

Eastbound and Down might feel a little dated, but I don’t remember anything like it when it first aired. I contend that Vice Principals is the spiritual predecessor to Gemstones, so I think you’ll love it; it made me fall in love with Goggins

I tried this, not for me. I think I have an alarmingly visceral reaction to religion that I can't get past.
