I still don't like this as the opener and there are other songs I like better start to finish but the last verse is one of my favorite parts on the whole album

I think this song is really good but the chorus is pretty mediocre. Mostly the "gave up on satisfaction" part gets old really quick. Apart from that I enjoy it a lot.

I tend to think about openers both in terms of how much I like them and how they set the table for the album. Last Exit, Sometimes, Can’t Keep, and Who Ever Said all do a great job of setting the scene, but songs like Go, Once, Brain of J, Breakerfall, and Life Wasted are all songs I really enjoy individually. So I don’t know which way one should lean to rank them.
