It's certainly possible to gamble that a GOP takeover this fall will coincide with a recession and voters will blame them, but I'm not sure how that helps.

And events like this are gonna be a lot more common going forward:

Republican Mayra Flores flips South Texas district to become first Mexican-born congresswoman
Joe Biden will be President, so… I don’t think it’s possible Dems get blamed for a recession.
Yes, correct. Also the GOP are winning the presidency in 2024--that was decided in 2020 when Biden won the primary, and any Dem strategy needs to take that as its starting point.
I actually missed a word there, no way Dems don’t get blamed.
Weird, my brain read it exactly as you meant it.

Question for the Republican haters: Ok we get that you hate Republicans and that’s all well and hood. Can you list 10 things you like about Democrats?

:shake:

Environmental safety like clean air and water
Maintaining the disconnect between religion and politics
Improved regulation of financial markets, fuck the quants
Restoring some workers rights
Government funded healthcare that stops a family from losing their home if one of them gets cancer
Regulating guns
Domestic infrastructure modernization
Increasing baseline welfare support so folks like farmers don't starve
Safe and legal abortion as an option for those who choose it
No Trump/TPUSA/etc

they can spell good
they believe everyone should be on a level playing field
treat everyone as an equal
do not boot lick a wanna be dictator
dont bitch about gas prices and then vote agains price gouging by the gas companies
can stand by and let one of their own go through 8 different committee hearings and dont bitch that it is a witch hunt
believe abortion is a womans choice
want to use common sense laws to try to minimize the outbreak of gun violence we have seen over the past 2-3 decades
when confronted with actions of their past and realize it was in poor taste they will apologize or resign from the government
try to take the high road at times instead of being sneaky and backhanded in their approach to policy
realize that science is ever changing and follow it

BI gets a lot of unwarranted criticism here. He seems moderate and gives thoughtful opinions.
