Destroying fan entitlement would definitely fix star wars. :D

So many thoughts.

At first I was annoyed and turned off by luke stuff but at the same time it’s really what I want most in Star Wars. My brain has a difficult time understanding that is luke. With lack of john Williams as well.

I know it’s not Luke. It’s deep fake stuff. But it is luke and I can understand it’s a few years after Jedi so of course he can look and sound a little different.

Also, it’s fucking luke and Jedi stuff. It’s what I care most about. Let’s get it in with a Jedi academy show !!! Let’s have more luke all the way to force awakens !

Love it.

Cad bane - best looking villain. Holy hell. Awesome.

It’s all blending together. There isn’t a boba fett show. There isn’t mando. Ahsoka. It’s all just gonna be Star Wars. I’m okay with that now. Bring it.

My pal has a pretty solid take

Finished. He's gonna pick the Mandorlorian Chain Mail. Then years later he will end up a Jedi anyway. He will make the wrong decision at first, like Luke did by fucking off on Yoda before his training was complete, and like Luke, will end up a Jedi in the future. He's only 50. He's got 700- 800 years til death approx. Plemty of times to have both his chainmail AND his lightsaber.

That is my guess as a way less educated fan than you. So i will probably be wrong.

I’m not sure the story is really about grogu. I’m frankly surprised they “brought him back” though I understand being a favorite and merch and all that. Seemed like, as far as mando goes, that story played its part.

So, I don’t know now. I think he chooses Jedi. Then we know he’s with luke and at some point there will be a Jedi academy trilogy.

Really looking forward to next episode now. Lots of possibilities, but do expect it to feature a lot of Boba.

I'm digging all these theories. I could see it going either way. I guess if I had a vote, I'd vote for Grogu stays with Luke. Firstly, because that's really what I say on his face in that shot. It really seemed to me like he was pained by the choice and to me that means never (potentially) seeing Mando again.

Secondly, I think Strat nailed it with his point about that journey being complete. Just feels right to me to move on without Grogu.

But he's also a huge cash cow. Grogu is the reason a lot of people are watching this dumb space opera tv show. From that perspective, it makes total sense that Grogu and Mando are a packaged deal for better or worse.

In that case, though, put me in the Ahsoka brings Grogu to Tatooine camp.

It does feel like Din has taken over the fandom's imagination. What everyone wanted Boba Fett to be. Din has fulfilled those young fantasies and imaginings. I fully expect Boba Fett to factor into this finale in a major way. But I also think the writing's on the wall. Like dime said, it would make so much sense to kill him off, give him his hero's death (and rewrite the thing that so many fans have complained about for decades). It'll be epic and satisfying. AND we'll still have Din to be the "badass" everyone's wanted for so long.

Really excited to see how it all plays out.

I know so many of you lost your minds when Luke showed up in Mando S2. So many fans said some version of "I've wanted to see that my whole life." Even Hamill said it was a dream come true.

For me, that same exact thing, was finally seeing, without question, that Luke and Ahsoka know each other. I'm dreamed for so long about that. There's still so much story to fill in there. But now that we can basically have young Luke, there's just no excuse. Show us the whole story.

Maybe they really did meet in between Empire and Jedi. :heartbeat:

Whatever the story is... we can actually get to see it now. In live action. My heart is full.

He did in Mando S2. But there's no way that was him in this, right?

I thought Luke looked incredible. But the voice was off. Not a deal breaker for me. Just noticeable. But they could still do an adventures of young Luke series and it wouldn't bother me one bit

I thought it might be a mix of Mark and AI.

It was off and it’s not quite there enough where i would be completely immersed should they explore a luke series. Hopefully they figure it out a bit more

Eh, honestly that felt like a cheap line. It didn’t really make sense in the moment ! Wha Ross she seeing in Luke ar that time ? Really!

As nice of a nod it was I think that was some cheap writing unless I totally missed something

But I also can't not talk about Cad Bane!

For fuck's sake!!!

Just incredible. I (like so many others) have been clamoring for live action Cad Bane for so long! Just outstanding.

Gonna be REALLY interesting to see how a Cad Bane/Boba Fett reunion goes.

Oh boy...

It's not the line. Forget the line. Most of the dialogue in this episode was... super not great (there are a lot of things to critique in this episode, but I'm gonna go ahead and celebrate it for a while still before getting bogged down in all that). It's the moment that matters. It's seeing those two together. It's the look they share. That's what got to me. That's what I've wanted to see since Ahsoka came into my life. :heartbeat:

It was all AI. Recordings of all his voice work entered in and AI and made able to sound like him

I really don’t care if it sounds off or he looks off. He didn’t in either case.

They need to nail his character here and what he would do and say and how he’d behave.
And they nailed that all the way down.
That’s the important thing here.
