she's wonderful and was my first exposure to a trans woman artist, back when I was an egg about to crack; the first album I heard and loved (and so far the only one I know well) is I Am A Bird Nowepilogue wrote:This is my first exposure to their music. Loved her in the live version of Lou Reed's Berlin. She sang a version of "Candy Says" in the encore that was just beautiful

Aah! That explains the name change. I thought it was just a typo across my digital radio dial as I'd always known the group as Antony and the Johnsons. Certainly the voice was unmistakable so I knew it was the same group.
Turns out it was a little more important than a simple typo though!
