It's kind of bullshit of you to put him in a box like that.

What kind of craven idiot only learns "later in life" that sexually harassing female colleagues isn't appropriate?

Jesus, all of these men are pathetic weirdos.

It's kind of bullshit of you to try and rationalize this sad creep's fucked up behavior because you like his work

Up until a couple of days ago, Louis CK only cared about his precious little homage to Woody Allen -- by the way, fuuuuuuck that film-- getting released. Any pain or humiliation caused or sense of his own moral idiocy was secondary to him just doing things however he wanted, and this was after years and years of more clearly stated rumors and complaints. The film isn’t being released, his content is being dropped, and he only cares because of the money lost now. The apology is nonsense and at best illustrative of a mindset that should serve as an object lesson, no more. It is as transactional as anything Trump does, only here taking the belief that confession is the better grease for the wheel than defiance. Fuck him and the crowdfunded redemption arc he's likely dreaming up.

It’s not obvious to many people that a power imbalance exists between men and women, especially famous or wealthy men, to where “yes” and “ok” are not words of consent but admissions of helplessness in the situation.*

I disagree with this. There are too many talented people toiling in obscurity who never get their big break. Any one who has the good fortune to find major success in the arts has a moral obligation to carry themselves with some semblance of gratitude and composure, otherwise step aside for the thousands of other talented no-names who would love a shot at the limelight.
I don't agree with it either. It just came to my mind, because so many seemed to agree with it ~month ago. I was just wondering if they still think the same.
