I hate them so much.
How thoroughly vandalizing a once-gorgeous song with random clicking sounds constitutes "pure emotional sentiment", I will never understand. They must have been smoking some serious click that day.

They're a studio band, I get it. Pulling off a set comprising songs from across their discography must be a massive undertaking, given the gear and software patches involved. I wouldn't want to do that for multiple nights for just a few thousand fans.
I think they could still play more bigger market shows. How often do they play chicago? minneapolis? it seems its always NY and LA.
i get it, it just sucks. never seem em!

I haven't seem 'em either, but that's because I'm a regular acquaintance of a few of the guys in the band, and I think it would be weird if they saw me there.

Pathetic world tour. Pathetic. I guess I'll try for the near impossible NYC.

The last tour in 2012 was pretty comprehensive. They even played 2 shows in Florida & Missouri. There's long a history of them playing all over the place, up until this year. They are most certainly not just a studio band. Have you heard what they did in the live setting with Bloom, Feral & other complex shit from KoL last time around? To me they're one of the absolute best at translating interesting, lush studio works in to huge, mind-bending live performances. And this has been consistent for almost 20 years now.
I agree that it's sad they're finally scaling back the tours, but it's something I've seen coming for a while with them getting older. I want anyone & everyone to experience them live, but it seems the glory days of that are about over.
Ok, I'll hop off my soapbox. I'm an admitted fanboy of these guys. But I'm sure I wouldn't ask Ed for smoke at the merch table if given the opportunity..

Those dates are bad even by PJ fan standards.

guys, i don't think this is a full-fledged tour like the last ones. it's more like the theater run in 2006.

This is probably the coolest US venue they have played in a long time. Really hope I can score tickets on Friday.

Yeah they're not really touring behind anything..... yet.
It's not like they're PJ where they released an album 5 years ago, and are still doing full-blown tours for it

Expecting a new record to drop in June before the shows
Also expecting a run of more shows either indoors in the fall, or possibly not til next summer.
