That's awesome stuff peeps, keep up the great work. Do you have a goal u are trying to hit then maintain ?
I feel like i should lose some weight but im staying right around the 200 - 205 mark, probably because I've cleaned up my diet a lot, but not the amount of food, i think im actually eating more now

,and im sure im building up some leg muscles that is counteracting the fat that im burning, but i feel like i would like to get to the 185 -190 weight again eventually

my initial goal is 212 (totally arbitrary number) but once i get there thats just phase 1, i will adjust accordingly but im thinking 185-190 may be nice

Came down with strep throat this week and did nothing all week except a 7km snowshoe. No biking, no gym, no swimming. Just up from a mile swim. Felt shitty bad kept to my time. Back to the gym tomorrow and either run or snowshoeing. Then onto positive motivational reinforcement, a date with a very sexy blonde. Shooting pool, watching the hockey game and drinking beers. Must think of good wagers for the pool games.

I wrestle for the university, so I'm cutting weight getting ready for the conference tournament.

what do you wrestle at? i have this already little sophomore in one of my high school classes, and to see him cut weight (savoring little wedges of cuties) is heart-breaking. i hope neither of my boys get into wrestling. i respect the sport, but there is a level of masochism that comes with it.
had my first training setback on friday. didn't think i'd have a chance to run all weekend, so i decided to do the 8 miles then. went for 8 mph, but my left calf hurt right out the gate. made 4 and a half miles before a combination of pain and common sense made me stop. didn't run saturday, but did get back to town today with enough time, so i tried the 8 again. slight pain, but i only ran at 7 mph. the mp3 shuffle was hitting all the right notes (mr. brownstone, maggie's farm, buried in your black heart, etc.), a mother of 2 (i see her when i pick up my boys) with a sweet ass ran right in front of me, and i even got the runner's high during the last mile and cranked up my pace to 7.5. off day tomorrow.

I hit my 14-mile tower run with my son in the jogging stroller on Sunday. 7 miles up a mountain road while pushing my son was gonna be difficult enough, then add a 30 mph headwind and there was just no f'ing way it was gonna happen. Instead of taking my son back home and running it by myself, I just walked up with the stroller and my son and I had fun at the top. In the end, it was a fun time, but I must punish myself for bailing on the run.

I hit 40 miles for the week last week. Did two 9s, a 15, and a 7. Felt great.
Taking it a bit easy this week. Did 7 yesterday and I won't be able to get out again until Friday. Hopefully, I can hit 10 or 12.

your sons will turn into better men if they wrestle.

I've been doing the Insanity workouts for the last ten weeks or so. I've lost 14 pounds and gained some tone with only minor changes to my diet.
The workouts are awesome. They really push you, regardless of what kind of shape you're in. After 8 weeks of working out six times a week and 2 weeks of working out 4 times a week, I still have to take unscheduled breaks here and there during each session.
Still, I can't wait for the snow to clear and temperatures to go up so I can go running outside. I miss it bad.

10 miles in 67 minutes
I was pretty pissed about bailing on my Sunday run and kinda feel like my running is going nowhere at this point. I'm not really getting faster for a marathon and I'm not doing any "death runs" out in the desert for ultra training. I hit the gym with the wife. I set the treadmill to 6:30 miles and held that for as long as I could. Got to 7 miles, then the string broke. Suffered for 2 miles, then pulled myself together for a final 7-minute mile. Done in 67 minutes. No real finishing sprint. Totally wiped afterward.
