It literally has news from today, which makes it all seem like such a last minute botch, but this has been falling apart for a while
this whole thing is such a train wreck
Now they say it has been moved to Merrieweather Post Pavilion for Aug 16-18. And renamed Woodstock 50 Washington
The venue still has the following on its schedule for those dates:
August 16 - Movie Night - Woodstock the movie
August 17 - the Smashing Pumpkins
As well, the artists they already paid apparently aren't contractually to even perform any more
Will be fun to watch how this plays out

That was a great read!
I can't understand why anyone would invest in this, at least from mid may onwards

I had some friends at that festival. Poor Buena Vista being overrun by shitty "country" music fans. What a beautiful little town.

New Dixie Chicks record is titled Gaslighter. It's comprised of all original music. The band will tour in support of the record.

I hope they tour up here again. We saw them twice on the last tour, once here (that show was a bad experience because of the people we went with) and once in Calgary. That one was much better.
Also a little on the nose with that title, but I'm OK with it.
(In the middle of ongoing divorce proceedings in August, Pasdar requested the court to give him access to all of Maines’ unreleased music, claiming that it violated a confidentiality clause in their prenuptial agreement.)
That's fucked up.

"Legally, we can’t play again,” bassist Nikki Sixx claimed to Rolling Stone backstage at a 2014 show in Denver. “The only loophole is if all four band members agreed to do it, we could override our own contract. But we know that will never happen. There are people in this band who will refuse to ever do it again, and you’re talking to one of them. There is no amount of money that would ever make me do it again because I have such pride in how we’re ending it.”

I thought Mars's back was so bad he could barely stand up anymore.

Considering these new "AirPods" are $160 and are two separate, small little buds, Apple is banking on a LOT of these getting lost and people buying multiple pairs.
I think I'd rather just stock up on 3-4 pair of $8 wired headphones and go along my merry way
seriously, so many of those are going to be lost. What a fucking scam.
plus, you're gonna look like one of those Bluetooth Douchebags, but worse bc you have them in both ears
So someone gifted a pair of these to my wife. She hates in-ears, so I gave them a whirl tonight.
The sound is pretty great actually. Easily some of the better in-ears I’ve ever heard.
But the constant sense that they’re slowly falling out is maddening. I could see myself using them in stationary situations, but not if I’m moving around at all.
Also, there’s an idiotic “feature” where they recognize if you take one out of your ear, and they automatically turn off. So I can’t put one in my ear and go to sleep on my side, listening to Sherlock Holmes stories or ASMR vids. I can probably turn this off somehow.
The constant sense that they’re galling out - I could never be OK with this. I have big ears. Hard to find anything that fits.

Coldplay is back with a new album but no touring... for now.
