I'm not usually a big Guitar Solo guy, but that little piece on Carin is pretty wrecking.

I'm not gonna try to force you to see one of the best bands in the world. Just do it!

There's a live EP that comes with the Japanese version of Sleep Well Beast that's really, really good.

1. Wasp Nest
2. Bloodbuzz, OH
3. Brainy
4. Exile/Villify
5. Sea of Love

The last two albums bored me to tears but this one really has its hooks in me.

Opposite thing happening to me. I love the last albums, I did from the start. I'm not connecting with this one as easily. I like a number of songs, but there's nothing that is immediately grabbing me and making an impact like the last several albums did.

I def. need to revisit High Violet and Trouble. I didn't really give them a fair shake TBH.

It's pretty much impossible for me to choose favorites between any of the middle four albums. They are all just wonderful. And maybe I'll feel the same with Sleep Well Best after some more time, but as of now I'd only rank it ahead of the debut.

to be fair, though, i don't have a running list of 2017 albums to rank it against. this is a decision based on SWEEEEEEET EMMOOOOOOOOTIONNNNN.

I've barely bought any new music in 2017. So I guess this would be my favorite new album too.

I love this album, definitely more than TWFM, probably more than High Violet (even if the highs on that album may be better than anything here), no way it touches Boxer.
I do believe that the singles are the strongest tracks though (probably I'll Still Destroy You too). I really love Carin at the Liquor Store.

Nobody Else Will Be There has grown immensely on me. I'm listening to it right now.

I actually haven't listened to the album that much, I really need to be in the right mood for it, even more than their other albums. But when I am it's incredible.

My ranking right now, it changes with every listen. I could pick any of the first 6 as a favorite

Guilty Party
I'll Still Destroy You
Carin at the Liquor Store
The System Only Dreams In Total Darkness
Day I Die
Dark Side of the Gym
Turtleneck
Nobody Else Will Be There
Empire Line
Sleep Well Beast
Walk it Back
Born to Beg

See above. There was also another 5-song live EP free with Musikexpress magazine
