When did you buy your Wii U? I got mine in 2014 with the release of Mario Kart 8. Maybe it was a problem they addressed by then.
I got mine when they were basically brand new (whenever that was), so that could be.
They came out in the fall of 2012.

That's when I got mine. My battery is shit. It holds a charge for less than an hour. It always seemed worse that anyone else's though.

I really like this new one. There are multiple playable routes, a few hidden blocks to help you out (though they aren't needed to finish the level), and lots of red Bullet Bob's. Enjoy.
