It was weird. But he is weird. I can see that being all his idea and they didn't have the heart to say no. Akroyd's cameo was a good one.

It looked like a barrel of laughs in the trailer.

Definitely most. Or at least definitely 4. That's most of RM anymore right?

I don't know. The Sony e-mail leaks suggest they had to pretty much force him to do it.

I thought all the cameos were bad except for Sigourney Weaver's.

But I liked that
Spoiler: show
Bill always said he'd do another Ghostbusters if they agreed to kill him and they went ahead and killed him. That was kind of awesome. I have no issue with Murray's cameo.

I hope you enjoy it. It's far, far, far from perfect. But there's so much to like about it even when you remove yourself from the larger debate/implications. It's a fun movie.

Kate McKinnon would make a great Joker.

I have absolutely no problem with the casting, or the bigger social implications this movie may or may not have on its shoulders.

The only thing i've ever been concerned with was:
1. The fact it was remade to begin with and
2. The type of humor in comparison to the original.

Only problem is - Me and the lady spend our free time watching LOST :)

Also, is Kate McKinnon's hairstyle in the movie a reference to Egon in the old The Real Ghostbusters cartoon?

There was no reason to remake Ghostbusters, for sure. But I'll side with LV on this and say, if it's a good movie, who really cares? If it's good, it's good and the mere fact of it being a reboot is silly and unimportant.

And I think it's good.

As far as #2 goes... don't go in expecting the same style of humor. It's different. It's less dry and grounded throughout. This is it's own thing and product of its time just as the original is a product of its time.
