I like how dime is full motivated by Star Wars. He didn't watch Atlanta because everyone said it was brilliant. He just watched it b/c that was necessary to evaluate Lucasfilm's choice in casting.

We've been talking a lot about Rogue One: A Star Wars Story because of our cover reveals (and there's a little more lower down the page), but there are other Star Wars movies on the way, and Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy has talked up the young Han Solo stand-alone.

In an interview with Variety, Kennedy outlined a little more about the movie's tone and style, which will be different again from Rogue One and the saga stories such as The Force Awakens. “There are other stories that we can tell in that same transportive and transcendent spirit. Going forward, you’re going to see movies that shift tonally, some that are grittier and tougher, and some more comedic in nature, says Kennedy. "This moves closer to a heist or Western type feel. We’ve talked about Frederic Remington and those primary colors that are used in his paintings defining the look and feel of the film." You can see an example of his art below.

Turning her attention back to Rogue One, Kennedy confirmed what director Gareth Edwards has previously hinted at: the new movie will not feature one of the traditional opening crawls. "We felt that’s so indicative of what those saga films are,” Kennedy says. "Initially, we probably will begin the film in a way that is traditional, with just the title." For more from Kennedy, head to Variety's site.

No matter how many times I try and correct her - Mrs Rangi still thinks that Donald Glover is John Boyega

I never thought it would happen either. She doesn't like John Boyega - and projects that onto Donald Glover....untill I remind her that Donald Glover is the guy that was in Community, not The Force Awakens

Maybe that's a good sign and she won't be able to tell the original han from the new one.

You gotta bet this is what lucasfiln are hoping for.

What are the odds that this movie ends just minutes before Han meets Luke and Ben in Mos Eisley?
