If Ed is not going to spite this woman he is an idiot. Chris chose to marry her. If she sucks then that's on Chris.

Doesn't sound like he's welcome at this point. Why risk creating a distraction?tragabigzanda wrote:I mean, it already sounds like Vicki's mom is kind of nuts and has an axe to grind with Ed. At face value, I wouldn't blame him for not showing.

Yeah but why is this even an issue? He could call the lady now and bury the hatchet if he wanted to and he probably should have called already.tragabigzanda wrote:I don't think Ed is a spiteful person [insert the infamous guitar tech vid here]. I'm guessing he doesn't want to rock the boat in an already upsetting situation. If there's one thing I learned working the music industry, it's that it's mostly filled with adult children who don't know how to carry themselves in a mature manner. I can understand why Ed may not want to kick the hornets nest by showing up.Dev wrote:If Ed is not going to spite this woman he is an idiot. Chris chose to marry her. Do people often get phone calls from every friend and long time coming worker when a loved one dies? What are you even supposed to say?Dev wrote:Yeah but why is this even an issue? Yeah, it doesn't get anywhere and it could really blow up at a funeral. I remember my Dad and his brother at my Grandfathers funeral, and that was over a parking spot.tragabigzanda wrote:"Sorry your son-in-law killed himself yesterday, want to talk about our ongoing disagreement?" Whether it's a public figure or private figure, I really really hate the airing of personal grievances on social media. Hell, I hate the airing of personal grievances to anyone but close friends and family who need to know. It's like sending an angry email at work using "Reply All".

That site is the worst of the internet. It's just awful. People shouldn't support it at all. Dude tried, somewhat successfully, to resurrect the Kim Thayil / Billy Corgan feud just for clicks. And it worked. Brett is just an absolute tool.lecherouslittlestump wrote:Can I also use this opportunity to say a massive FUCK YOU to Alternative Nation.com for using cheap clickbait titles related to Chris's death to drive traffic to their website e.g. "Police Reveal If Chris Left A Suicide Note, Is There A Motive?"

What was his site called before he re branded it to ride the coattails of an old mtv show? It sucked then too.

Yes. They use headline words like "Reveal" or "Big news" and stuff. Only reason I ever go there is bc no else covers certain topics from the "Grunge" stars of the day. But, yeah, he seems a little bit caught up, well, alot caught up, in trying to get clicks.matt reeder wrote:That site is the worst of the internet. It's just awful.
