I like how people are acting like those that peed in cups did something egregious. If my options boil down to pissing in a cup or pissing my pants, I go with the cup every time.

Other things I don't like about being a Cub fan:

The seventh inning stretch, especially the cub super fan famous people like Vedder and Belushi

The whole lovable losers thing

The 'Go Cubs Go' song

Other awesome things about Cubs fans...

The pure love of attendance numbers.

Due to the insane number of casual fans, a total lack of understanding of the history of Chicago baseball in general.

Possibly my favorite Wrigley memory ever...

Summer of 1995. Right before the All-Star Break. Barry Larkin got voted in as the starter over Dunston. Some big drunk slob sitting behind me in the bleachers made some big ass sign with both of their stats on it and just kept going on and on about how his sign was gonna get him on ESPN when Dunston had a huge game. There was literally no doubt in his mind that this was gonna happen. He kept singing the Sportscenter theme song over and over again. This was during the stupid fucking heatwave that summer when it was like a billion degrees, which made the guy all the more insufferable. First batter of the game, Dunston makes a throwing error. Second batter of the game, Larkin drives him in with a triple. Larkin later adds a homer. Dunston later adds another error. The dude with the sign was passed out by the fifth inning.

More than $20 million a year for Porcello seems nuts, but it's probably a better move than signing some 30+ year old free agent to a long term deal.

I don't hate it. I think it's a little much, but I figure if he has a good year this year, he would have commanded that deal with a 5th year on top of it.

I hate the day-off-after-opening-day thing. I understand why teams do it, but I still hate it.
