I think Sansa and Arya have a chance to converge in the next few seasons and then to drastically diverge once more (like Season 1) and then have a chance to converge again, although apart. Try to follow me: in the first season, Sansa had romanticized the highborn life that the Stark kids were born into, while Arya rebelled against it, wanting to be a warrior like Princess Nymeria and all her heroes. Over the course of the next few seasons, Sansa clearly became disenchanted with the highborn life (being betrothed to shitbag Joffrey, being married to Tyrion, being married to Ramsay), and Arya became disenchanted with the idea of being a shadow ninja. They've both thrown off their earlier hopes and dreams and are on a course to converge somewhere in the North in the hopes of working together to bring the Starks back to glory. However, rewatching Season 6, I get the feeling that they're going to knock heads again pretty soon: when it's somehow revealed that Littlefinger was partly responsible for Ned's downfall (Varys certainly knows, so if there's ever a meeting between Jon's advisors and Dany's that would come out), he's going to be added to Arya's list--but he's essential for Sansa's and Jon's success (knights of the Vale and all), so she won't be allowed to touch him. Divergence again. I think Sansa will, however, eventually come to rue both her alliance with Littlefinger and the path she's jumping back on--if she becomes Lady of Winterfell, she's just going to have to marry some other dude and make babies with him, something she has an obvious hatred of. Arya may go back into the world on her own, but she's going to miss being with her "pack" in Winterfell. They won't end the story together physically, but I think they'll both be in the same headspace by the conclusion.

I've always liked that theory. That Arya

That hour moved very quickly; here's hoping the season slows down. The first scene was the worst one, I think.

He had held Dragonstone and Storm's End (I think) when he got the raven from the wall and hightailed it north.

Yep, kind of weird indeed.

It would have made more sense if they were lightly held by the sick, old men and green boys that Stannis left behind. Kind of like the force Theon encountered at Winterfell.

Or Lannisters had they dealt with them by now.
