I am not sure why, but my favorite kind of concert footage to watch - by far - is when it’s played at an outdoor festival during the day.

Fun fact: they played that song at our basic training graduation. And we were so...not brainwashed, but just torn down from the 8 weeks of constant training that we were excited as hell for it.guestT wrote:Just realized that Lee Hazlewood and Lee Greenwood are two different people. What kind of soft-ass basic training did you have where you got music? All we got was a marching band of guys who were too pussy to go through normally boot camp so they volunteered for the band flight. And they even fucked that upbune wrote:Fun fact: they played that song at our basic training graduation. Yeah.
No, it was a recording and they just played it as we were walking across the stage at the end of the whole thing.
And my son wants to join the Air Force orchestra. He wanted to join the Air Force anyway but when he found out about the orchestra he was even more excited. And hell, who wouldn't want to graduate boot camp as an E6?

Despite being a huge Sunny Day fan, I haven't listened to a single Jeremy Enigk solo album.

What a strange thing that Huey Lewis and the News was so big for a time.

I have 2 friends that are still huge Huey Lewis fans. They go see them every time they come through town at the nearest casino or county fair.knee tunes wrote:The 80s were an unforgiving bunch of daysBurtReynolds wrote:What a strange thing that Huey Lewis and the News was so big for a time.
They’re idiots. But they’re from Ohio so what can I say.

Re: Post Random Music-Related Thoughts You Have
I really like Foo Fighters' self-titled album. It's the only album I can listen to of theirs, even though I loved The Color and the Shape and There is Nothing Left to Lose as a kid. I find Dave Grohl's squeaky clean persona to be insufferable and annoying these days, unless he's on a drum stool - then he's only a little bit annoying.
