well, it is a holy weekend after all.

U.S. rocked by 3 mass shootings during Easter weekend

I mean the united states is a huge country and there are a lot of guns. Is stuff like this even news?

It says we were rocked by it, and I think the Canadians would know.

Tangent but just cos it’s so Fucking sick and bizarre and this stuff doesn’t happen here. If anywhere.
Two men murdered here this past week. Up in Sligo which is a town but surrounds are rural enough. One a day or so after the other. Both hooked up with a guy on Grindr who came to their house and mutilated and decapatated them both.
Police found the guy really quickly. He had a list of other gay guys he was going to kill.
Fucking appalling. To make it worse he’s a Muslim immigrant so that’s been rocket fuel for the racist assholes here trying to start a far right movement.
This is so grim.

Stacy Abrams shoots up mall and gets 25k bond. How do we as liberals react to this? Mass shootings bad. Incarceration for any crime at all also bad. What do we do?

Don't sleep on that other hot take about how we Americans aren't "rocked" by people getting shot anymore. We're all gonna die sometime, sheeple!!!!1!!

What do you guys suggest we do? Can't get rid of all the guns. More woke criminal justice reform doesn't seem to help either.

Also, unrelated to guns but any suggestions on the three bodies that floated up in the Chicago River this weekend? Might need some waterway reform.

Detectives in Chicago are investigating the deaths of a man and two women whose bodies were pulled from different parts of the city’s waterways over the weekend, authorities said.

People die. Why waste time investigating?

Maybe once we get to the 2 weeks out of the year in Chicago where the weather is nice we can go on a downtown architecture tour on the Chicago River riding bloated corpses like banana boats?

At least they required masks to keep everyone safe! Can't imagine how there could have been trouble at such a nice family event.
