People rag on the extra Vitalogy bits of course but I always thought that track was interesting from a creative standpoint. It sounds like they copied a multi-track of a jam session, looped parts of it and mixed it gradually like a normal recording as it looped. I can't think of any other examples of that even outside of Pearl Jam, so it's interesting at least to me.

i def like all the vitalogy bits at this point. shows how creative they were in that era. i def under appreciated some of them in the early days. those dave a tapes put those sessions in a different light for me. they were in such a great zone then musically

Getting prepped to head across country with the fam to see PJ in Melbourne in a few weeks. Sat down today and made a big arse Spotify mix for the kids to get them up to speed for their first ever PJ show. It was a really enjoyable process going back over their catalogue and putting a playlist together for them to check out as "homework".
I love this band so much.

I did consider it and actually thought of you when I did. I will definitely revisit tomorrow when I listen through at work. Its for the kids so it will certainly fit the bill.

I have 2 spare tickets for the Melbourne show if you want to come grab 'em. I can't think of anyway I'd prefer to spend a few days driving than having you in the back seat regaling me with stories of greased up naked men with Arnold Palmer sized cocks swinging about in the breeze.

thinking in eras I would start the ‘new’ era with gigaton. there was an eight year gap between l-bolt and gigaton. kids grew up. two presidents. a real break in continuity
