Star Wars : The Mandalorian (Disney+ 2019)

This was much better than I was expecting based on the reviews and general reception. It felt like season one of the show with much better production values.

Id love them to do another mando movie. One that ties in with thrawn/Ahsoka/Skeleton Crew. Sets up Daves Avengers End Game style movie.

Plus they go back to mandalore and grogu connects with the mythosaurs.

It's unfortunate this had the added weight of being the first SW theatrical release in seven years because this had so much of what makes Star Wars fun. It was gross, dirty, and weird! The creature designs were excellent and the score is fantastic. There is so much attention to detail that are easy to miss the first time around (like the stormtroopers having mismatched or missing armor).

It seems like a lot of people made their minds up before even seeing it, and were going to pick it apart. I loved it for exactly what it was - a two hour Star Wars adventure with lots of action.

I think deep down he really wants people to take his helmet off. Why else would he maintain a well-groomed goatee under there

I had the same feeling. I’ve now resigned myself to the fact I WON’T see it in the theater and I’m ok with it. First Star Wars movie I’ve never seen in the theater first run.
