I bet when MC said the album was in the can, he just meant all the songs were finished. I be they're just getting around to tracking after an extended holiday break.

so, basically, there could actually not even be a release date inside the PJ camp at this moment. If that's true, we all better take quite a few steps back. this could seriously be summer/fall '24, and there is nothing that suggest their run of shows, however extensive, can't start prior to a new record.

Some good news and some devastating news… (please don’t shoot the messenger!)

The single was released yesterday and many of you seem to have missed it… it’s called Transector and has Brittany Davis on backing vocals. Whilst it is not wrecker, the name sounds kind of similar and it is believed this is where confusion originated.

However with great regret I wish to inform you that the forthcoming Pearl Jam album co-written by Andrew Watt has indeed been scrapped! Jeff only just found out they were recording at the end of last year and was unhappy with the outcome and direction taken, including the heavy use of auto-tune and guest vocalists.

Mike is hopeful that an EP can be released in the next 6-9 months, but Stone and Jeff say they wish to take a break and regroup in about a year before finding a new producer. Do not expect a new album until at least the end of 2025, but more realistically 2028.

Im kinda surprised they have been in the studio so much with PS and they played so little live actually.

Sure, they'll tour every few years. May even put our an album every decade or two.

But essentially they are no longer a band.
