Re: Talk about your day thread
I have plumbers at my house right now and I don’t even want to know how much this is going to cost. Problem with main outgoing drain. I really hope it’s a clog and not a collapsed pipe.

Re: Talk about your day thread
I am reading Mark Lanegan’s memoir and he has a story about how badly Screaming Trees’ performance of Dollar Bill went for him on Leno in 1993. It was because he had basically gotten his own stomach acid in his own throat and it hurt very badly to talk or sing.
I pulled it up on YouTube this morning and it wasn’t nearly as bad, in my opinion, as he described. Barrett Martin could have toned it down a little, though.

Because of this plumbing issue I haven’t taken a shower, yet I’m having a great hair day.

Mrs. Bam witnessed a crow swooping down and carrying off a baby rabbit from a nest in the corner of our back yard.

Luckily it turned out to be a clog, not a collapsed pipe under the driveway.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Calm down and try again.Bammer wrote:Again in English, please?lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Maybe subtle coerce of another subordinate into giving you money?Bammer wrote:I have plumbers at my house right now and I don’t even want to know how much this is going to cost. This has become an annual thing I swear for like 3-4 years. Antibiotics.tragabigzanda wrote:I had that in 2002. The medicine they gave me caused what felt like an overnight exorcism, I kept waking up in excruciating pain and cold sweats. I finally passed out cold at like 3am and slept until lunchtime. When I woke I felt like a million bucks.Bammer wrote:Yes. I think.tragabigzanda wrote:Epididimitis?Bammer wrote:Got antibiotics for this sore left testicle.
But it sounds like yours is just “sore,” so probably won’t be that bad. I let mine go for several days before getting checked out and at that point I was in a bad spot.
Keep us posted.

my neighbor has some pigeons that burrowed into his roof and it attracts a red tailed hawk
i was out front the other morning sipping coffee and all the sudden the hawk, which had been hiding camo-style in the other neighbor's tree like 20 feet away, pulls this ridiculous aerial Arc out exploding of the tree then over my roof in a pirouette to land on the pigeon roost
i didnt see how it ended but every bird in the vicinity started going apeshit with their bird panic sounds
was awesome
i was so impressed
i had literally been considering training as a falconer
and now i like kind of want to even more

Re: Talk about your day thread
Whilst not confirmed yet there are strong hints that my daughter will finally be allowed to come home after 6 nights across 3 EDs and 2 hospitals. Kidney function essentially stopped after her operation on Tuesday but they look to have finally turned the corner and switched back on.
What a long arse week it has been. I need to catch up on some sleep.
