I just did a "Virtual" Half Marathon. Runs like that SUCK without other people. There's no "game day" rush and no people to pass.

Awesome!!! 3 miles is the magic number for me. Once I get past that, 4, 5, 6 aren't far behind.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:did 3 miles, but 9 seconds per mile off my pace from friday...thought i ran a little more overall but i guess i didn’t...i could have gone harder though no doubt
oh I’m not fussing...just observingDev wrote:I think focusing on pace and time and the amount of breaks you take is probably a bad thing. you want to get in a trance as much as possible. of course you gotta push but fussing about seconds only creates unnecessary stress. long distance runners tend to be slower in general. like the dudes that put up the most kms each week are not the fastest dudes out there.
well it still was a lot of walking, but...it’s way better than i could do two months agoHatfield wrote:Awesome!!! 3 miles is the magic number for me. That's great! My wife's philosophy (she has run Boston 3 times) is focusing on time out on the road/trail. When she is building up to get back into running shape, she goes for time as a goal, not distance.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:well it still was a lot of walking, but...it’s way better than i could do two months agoHatfield wrote:Awesome!!! 3 miles is the magic number for me. that makes sense...for better or worse i have an innate sense of time so i'm kinda geared toward thinking in those termsHatfield wrote:That's great!
