The trade federation blockade scheme actually looks like clever writing, in comparison to a villainous scheme to replace highly advanced military technologies with trained animals.

There is literally not one single enjoyable moment or element in Jurassic World. I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's legitimately the worst movie I've ever seen.

On the other hand, I think there are plenty of enjoyable moments in E1 and E2. Not so much E3.

I haven't seen Jurassic World.

I remember JP2 being campy and funny and intentionally over the top, like an old school Godzilla movie. But I thought that was intentional; I thought SS was making fun of himself and the genre of sequels, no?

JP 3 was... forgettable. Other than finally giving us the aviary scene (or some version thereof) that was in the original JP book, I don't remember much about it. Maybe is was good? Maybe it was terrible? But it definitely wasn't very memorable either way.

I've defended Crystal Skull all over RM as much as I ever care to. It was fine. It's got terrible moments, but it isn't even the worst in the series.

The Star Wars prequels are just... terrible. Just completely terrible. The difference in quality between those three and the OT is staggering.

That pod race is a far better set-piece than anything in Jurassic World or Crystal Skull.

Also, The Lost World is great. I love it. Almost as much as the original. Doesn't deserve the kind of scorn it gets. JPIII is weak, but not awful. It looks much better in retrospect since JW came out.
