I really hope its not 'sleeping by myself'. that hokey bullshit works just fine on a uke, but as a rock song? what can they possibly do with it that would make it so interesting that they had to include it on a PJ album?

actually, I feel that way about everything on uke songs. this album is already pissing me off.

Revisiting the entire catalog and reading through Stip's guided tour of No Code has got me thinking.

Backspacer really is Pearl Jam's most unburdened album. It's a logical conclusion, a resolve to everything that came before. Look at where we started. Ten is the exact opposite of unburdened.

This leads me to believe this new album will really feel like the beginning of something brand new. This new one will be chapter one of a new book. And that's really exciting to me.

It's the same author, so there will be a voice we recognize; some themes and ideas and stylistic choices that seem familiar. But it'll be a new beginning.

Maybe it's not chapter ten, but rather chapter one of book two.

I don't have it. Someone (I can't say who) sent me a link earlier today. But I made it pretty clear I didn't want to hear anything before the album dropped so I deleted it without listening. I have no idea if it was real or not. But there are a lot of people here "in the know."

Who's idea was it to pretend this leaked? Me and BigWrigg were so much funnier but were shot down in our prime.

Again, I just want to be clear, I have no idea if the link I was sent was legit. It could have just been somebody having fun with me. Like I said, I made it clear in another thread that I didn't want it. So, it stands to reason someone was trolling me.

Also, Frank the Bunny is an awesome screen name and a reference. I like it.
