I dont know. If palpatine was that powerful he would have seen Kylo turning on "snoke" and not allowed for that to happen.

Snokes usefulness had come to an end. Palpatine could have felt set and ready to return.

I remember the 'kill him' from the TFA audiobook and thinking that seemed odd at the time, though also that I thought it was maybe Snoke playing her like Palpy did to Luke, telling him to kill his father so he could take his place.

We have have snoke saying bring her to me. He maybe senses Rey is more powerful than Kylo. Perhaps she is some form of clone got away from Palpatine and he wants her back?

I'm glad you guys are having these chats and it's probably fun to fuel the suspense and mystery with this movie, but a lot of this palpatine and clone stuff is garbage.

BUT before you yell at me (or ignore me) I have one nugget I'd like to offer.

In the PT movies, the Palpatine/Sidious mystery wasn't very well hidden for the audience to guess. We basically knew his scheming the whole time.

So is JJ Abrams trying to correct that in the ST? With the rumors that Palpatine being in control the whole time, is it JJ trying to pull a fast one over the audience this time, so we didn't suspect his involvement until the end?

Liam fuckin neeson didn’t know mcdiarmaid was also Sidious.

A lot of the audience didn’t make the Connection believe it or not.

Jj isn’t pulling a fast one. He an Kennedy both have said Palpatine was alway the plan

The previous twittter thread I posted shows how he’s been laced carefully through out the new canon. And that’s not even all of it.

Please stop with the Jj fast on before you start.

You might be onto something. Jj smacked that down in that interview on the last page. Maybe just maybe

I've said it once already but I think the key to understanding the Dark Rey stuff is the fact that the saber blades are unstable, just like Kylo's blade. Maybe that's nothing more than a Kyber Crystal thing. But, again, since the movies haven't really talked about that in detail, I wonder how much that idea factors in. I think it's a big clue, either way.

I think the dark Rey thing is a minnow in all this. If they’re showing us that and it is shocking truly.

What are they holding back?

I think once we see th film dark Rey won’t even rank
