Finally saw Guardians of the Galaxy last night. Really enjoyed it. I like these characters much more than the Avengers.

The shot-for-shot-ness contributes to its lack of value, but that it doesn't stop there.

Ruddo, did you enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy?

I enjoyed it too mostly..

Watched The Judge..I was feeling weepy and sentimental so it sorta fit. I even passed over my running bewilderment at how Downey can just literally be himself in every film and still get work, but he's a loveable rogue I guess and it works here.


Also watched Begin Again. Some really really close to the bone/pointed not so-subtext from the writer/director but I love his style and it wrapped up nicely. Mark Ruffalo is great in it.

I feel exactly the same way. I enjoy the Avengers movies, but the only character's I really like are Thor and Loki. The Guardians are definitely a lot more likable.

I did not see the new Transformers movie. I was never really into those toys as a kid and I don't really care for Michael Bay. The only Transformers movie I saw was the one with Leonard Nemoy and I thought it took itself way too seriously for how ridiculous the story was.
