It's going to be pretty interesting to watch fan reaction to the crawl in 8. I'm maybe more excited to see that than the actual movie.

I can't imagine any situation in which I would fan reaction to something "interesting"

No crawl on the Solo/Fett, etc.. , but definitely a crawl on the numerical films. It would be funny to see a 1,000 clickbait articles and watch Twitter melt over the absence of the crawl in VIII and IX.

I'd fucking love it. E8 picks up immediately where E7 ended. No crawl. There's no fucking point. No crawl, no space pan, no big ship, no theme music. Just the Lucasfilm logo and a smash cut to Rey and Luke in the same position we last left them in.

I called a cold opening ages ago.

Straight from a long time ago into luke and Rey that exact moment. A scene of two then bang. Intro and opening crawl.

Plus a cold opening for a scene or two and then intro and crawl can serve as a time span / few months later sorta thing after the crawl.

Hypothetically, if this is not only the best Star Wars film to date, but let's say the single greatest science fiction film of all time... would no crawl ruin it for you?

I'm really concerned about the status of the crawl.
