Pearl Jam is one of the worst bands I can think of to listen to on shuffle, almost entirely due to their wildly inconsistent production / aesthetic values

I certainly don't disagree, but yet I also listen to PJ on shuffle a lot and enjoy it. I think it's just going in knowing what it is and being okay with it from the jump.

Live on Two Legs is a fantastic album
lately i have been drawn to the 1998 era
Ed's voice is so good on this record

I've said it before, but this album was my real intro to Pearl Jam. Still go back to it regularly.

I've said it before, but this album was my real intro to Pearl Jam. Still go back to it regularly.
I didn't really appreciate it at the time
i think prob bc I had enough boots and the fact that it was a 'live compilation' felt impure to me
but at this point, listening to it now, you can just hear how tight the band was; very thoughtful
and again Ed's voice is still just very good

Because Yield was a bit of a minor album (read: let down) for me when it first came out, Lo2L felt like a balm. I needed that album at the time and listened to it far more than Yield for a very long time.

funny to remember LO2L was highly criticized at the time because it didnt include too many songs from the early albums.

I was too young to really follow the band when LO2L released, but it was certainly the first time I heard live PJ. It really encouraged me to check out all those 2000 boots.

I was working at Sam Goody when it came out and loved putting it on to play in-store when it was my turn to pick something. But got half yelled at by my boss one time when I didn't make it to the back room fast enough to turn it off before Fuckin' Up came on...

interesting
I essentially did the inverse ... over-listened to Yield but barely listened to Lo2L
but as a result never listened to yield much after that point though
have prob only given it a spin twice since then, crazily enough.
once was more recently. and I really appreciated Jack's drums on it which never had struck me as a notable, essential or pronounced component before
instead at this point sounded core to almost every song
