I like how the deleted scenes of Clones consist of even more talky shit between the Queen and Anakin. It could have been even worse!

We were looking hard at this as a potential christmas gift for the kids, and frankly, the reviews have not been kind.

I've heard theres a cheap $30 one that works via remote that isn't great but the more expensive one is supposed to be great.

I've been tempted by this, but feel that it'd probably get used extensively for the first week - and after that slowly forgotten

Saw this on another board. Sounds like a good read

Currently I am reading "How Star Wars Conquered the Universe" by Chris Taylor. A good read. He mentions that Midichlorian were a belated attempt to inject some science into the vagueness of Jedi-ism. There is also a very interesting look on the numerous re-writes of the original Star Wars scripts, things could have been so very different

For me, of all the problems with the prequels, midichlorians reign supreme as the shittiest idea Lucas ever had. With just a few pointless throwaway lines, Lucas obliterated everything cool about the force and turned the franchise into really bad scifi.

I kinda like the midichlorian thing. Changes the connotations of the Force from religious to scientific.
