It's official, Breath of the Wild is my favorite Zelda game. I have yet to consult a guide/walkthrough and it has been such a nice, relaxing adventure.

It really is. I defeated Gannon without half the stuff. Now I'm going back and just roaming for hours.

I love how the focus is on exploring and figuring things out rather than bombarding you with fetch quests, side quests, the story, etc. You can just go at your own pace. I've defeated the four beasts but want to get most of the shrines before going after Gannon. I just found a new way to get Koroks and I'm like 80 hours into the game. It just made me laugh.

I hope to buy a used system and game in another year or so, once the demand has gone down. Is there a huge difference in graphics between the WiiU and the Switch?

Followup question: Is the latest Mario Kart available on both? I'd like to believe I could score a used WiiU w/Zelda and MK for $200 in another year or so.

Yes, Mario Kart 8 is available on both. There is not a huge graphical difference in BotW between the Wii U version and Switch version. There are several very good games on the Wii U besides these two (Super Mario Maker, Super Mario 3D World, Wind Waker HD, Toad Tracker, Pikmin 3, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, etc.). You would have several hours of entertainment if you got one on the cheap. The only downside is the system itself is super clunky compared to the Switch and there are no more games coming to it.

Yeah I've only played Zelda on the WiiU and it is fine. The only difference in MK I think is that there is some extra DLC available for the Switch.

Yeah, plus who knows how long the online servers will stay active on the Wii U. The online is very smooth and a ton of fun. The Switch version also has battle mode and online battle mode.

Hmm, this does complicate things. Whatever, it's just a pipe dream until it's not.

'13? Dude,.....

I started a road to the show last year and got drafted by Boston as a SS and never made it up after 2 stellar AAA seasons because rn he roster was stacked. I reset it after summing and falling to AA.

Was thinking as starting a new one as a pitcher.

Spend the extra hundred bucks and just get a damn switch now instead of waiting a stupid year.

I won't have a lot of time to play anything this summer, so it's not worth it yet. But maybe this fall?

Or just do it now, have it to play for the next 6 months should you have a rainy day. The battle mode in mario kart is worth the cost of the switch and the game.

I don't have any money! I'll finally start paying myself on 6/1. First thing I need to save for is some sort of token of appreciation for my wife taking on the household finances for the last two years. If only she liked video games, I'd be all set.

She'll love battle mode. I assure you.

Or it will shake the very foundation of your marriage.

Mass Effect has been placed on hiatus. I can't remember a franchise being publicly placed on hiatus. Was ME4 really that bad?

EA really knows how to kill a franchise.
