Community is on Prime? awesome news. that and Arrested Development are the two comedies I most want to watch again with my son.

I'm glad you bumped this because I was looking for that.

When I searched for Community it showed as being in Hulu or I could pay for the seasons. Do you have a hulu sub?

I still need to watch the last season. I don't know what happened but that was about the time I stopped watching a lot of TV and man have I got a backlog.

my favorite sketch is the one with the line "I'm not persecuted, I'm just an asshole." fucking brilliant.

I know how the world feels about The Wire. But honestly, the pilot of Treme is LEAGUES better than the pilot of The Wire.

Doesn't mean it's a better show overall. But I was really surprised.

i'd believe it. The Wire pilot made me feel extremely lost. It dumped you into the middle of a granular procedural with a lot of super important dialogue, and virtually no exposition. Took several episodes to really get my bearings.
Treme definitely had a similar ”no exposition" approach but it's more character driven and less procedural so it works much better. Also there acting is outstanding. Wendell Pierce is a national treasure.

It's worth sticking it out for a few more episodes. There's definitely a dated/stark feel to those early eps, but the you'll be thankful you stuck it out.

after finding that Percussion Gun video yesterday with basically an episode of Friday Night Lights interspersed it made me kinda want to watch the show. is perpetually-frowning ginger Connie Britton better in this than her usual? because other than Spin City it's been kind of blah.
