Looks like Marty dropped a Sansa chapter from Winds of Winter. It's up on his site.

I keep getting anxious about how the show is going to handle Ilyn Payne's death.

Re: A Song Of Ice and Fire (Spoilers for all Published Books
So for this season of the show, is there anyone who objects to discussing scenes/aspects of the show that outpace the books? Do we have to spoiler shit like that? I doubt there will be much, but all signs point to some heavy shit going down this year.

I would say this thread is good for anything current in either show or book.

Yikes. I didn't know that. I can't remember, has he appeared on the show much recently?Mecca wrote:the actor has terminal cancer, though that was found out back in like season 2Monkey_Driven wrote:cutuphalfdead wrote:I keep getting anxious about how the show is going to handle Ilyn Payne's death.

Something to watch for. Could they replace him with something else and have the same emotional payoff/ character building moment?

I think you guys are talking about Ilyn Payne(Wilko Johnson). I believe it was announced that he was done with the show and Bronn taking up his role as Jaime's trainer/bro may support that. Last I read, his condition and prognosis improved quite a bit, but I think it was too late for him to come back.
Janos Slynt is exiting the show one way and one way only.....with his head rolling away from the block that Edd fetches.

you say that, but they've changed the methods of some big moments before. I wouldn't be surprised if they just had Melisandre burn him, but I really want them to have Ed fetch a blockOh, Jimmy wrote:I think you guys are talking about Ilyn Payne(Wilko Johnson). Yeah I'm just afraid that the reason why will be lame. Like for cowardice when he hid in the storeroom during the battle of castle black, instead of the power struggle between him and Jon.Oh, Jimmy wrote:Janos Slynt is exiting the show one way and one way only.....with his head rolling away from the block that Edd fetches.

So apparently the first four episodes leaked online - is the quality any good?

Re: A Song Of Ice and Fire (Spoilers for all Published Books
I liked that they included the unsullied going to a brothel just to be held by a woman seeing as how they're castrated. I thought the scene after with Missandei asking Grey Worm why an Unsullied would do that was pretty stupid with him saying "I don't know." I guess its for scenes like that that they cut out 2 of Doran Martell's children
