If you're viewing this as a new console- there are few PC only games at this point. Most games come out on PS5, XSX, or Switch eventually. Most of the games in my gaze are probably a few years old to a decade old. If you want to play AAA games in handheld form, this is for you. Plus, the XB1 and XSX titles are all new to you. As a lifetime console gamer, i must say, Steam is pretty great. I was unsuccessful when I tried to load a game without Steam.
The SteamDeck is well built, however, it's pretty large for a handheld. Those track pads function better than I would have guessed. I've played a few games, but I hope to jump back into it post-Zelda.

I see this as an investment in both the Xbox and PC ecosystem.

In mid-April, I bought Bayonetta 3 and Xenoblade 3 as part of GameStop's buy one get one free promotion. I received Bayonetta in a normal amount of time. Xenoblade never shipped even though it was in stock for the first few weeks after purchase. I got my credit card statement and I was charged $1.80 total, the amount of tax. Wierd, but in my favor.

I can’t find the video now, but I saw a TikTok of a guy who got a voicemail from GameStop saying that his pre-order for Dead Island 2 (which he put $10 down for) from 2013 was ready for pickup.

It won't be around much longer. I loved Software Etc. But then all those mergers and acquisitions combined Software Etc., Babbages, and Electronic's Boutique. I stopped being a loyal customer when it became EB Games. I rarely give GameStop any business - there's always an issue.

Target has some Black Friday deals already. $35 Jedi Survivor is the best of the super early deals.

GameStop's Black Friday deals are live. Lots of sub $20 games. I grabbed 8 games for $90. Let's just hope they don't arrive in "GameStop New" condition.
