It really is. Their drummer is underrated. I love Deftones.

Well that was a waste of time. Chino seems cool though.

I need someone to explain to me RM's recently renewed interest in Nu-Metal, I think

My best guess is that recent cuts at the EPA have led to increased lead levels in the water supply.

Nu Metal has just kinda come back around in general. I loved it as a kid but learned it was “bad” from older people, so I shoved it down deep somewhere inside and felt catholic-level shame around my enjoyment of it. Now I’ve gotten over that and can finally admit I just like Limp Bizkit and Korn and it’s fine

Anyway this is the best modern nu metal album (even though it’s over 10 years old at this point - this band was ahead of the revival, unfortunately for them). My wife took me to a rage room for my birthday a couple years ago and I had them play this album while I broke stuff

I still think it's pretty bad. The culture seems even worse though.

Sorry LV, I just saw the opportunity for a joke and took it. Korn was actually the first concert I ever attended (powerman 5000) opened.

Is Chevelle nu metal? I really like them.

Chevelle is post-grunge, I would say? Spiritually very similar - adjacent genres. Or maybe they’re more just alternative metal, I dunno. I’ve only heard two songs, I think.
