oh wow what a finale. Another brilliant series from Danny. I just love his work and this one was really really good.

I do not. I think that these mega church types just don't hold my interest is all. I can't relate, even a little bit.

I appreciate I'm no doubt doing myself a disservice by not sticking it out but only so many hours in the day so choices have to be made.

This could just as well be a show about a media mogul family; the actual occupation is just flavor to a story about wealthy charlatans divorced from reality. It’s like if succession was about a mega church family and actually a comedy

Great finale. The tonal shifts that this show does so well were once again very well done with some genuinely touching moments. The siblings’ group prayer for Corey was very moving.

Everything about that opening Cape & Pistol duel scene was incredible. “When I was child…oh, fuck, y’all.”

Not a lot of Uncle Baby Billy, but he made every moment count.

“Red Red Wine” would be a seriously terrifying song to be murdered to.

Tremendous finale. This show will be greatly missed.

I'm really enjoying Vice Principals... I know I'm probably the only Righteous Gemstones fan who hadn't seen it, but in case you also haven't, highly recommended. It's really scratching that Gemstones itch

We watched it between Gemstones seasons. It was very weird to see Edi Patterson in that role after having seen her as Judy first.

Judy reminds me a lot of her character in Vice Principals. I strongly recommend that show to anyone who is a fan of Gemstones because I think the show was born out of whatever they tapped into on that show

one of my favourite things was that they covered Judy's mental health / abuse issues as a young girl (whoever plays young Judy is fantastic), which lends understanding to her actions and personality as an adult
