I had mono in my twenties. I was absolutely exhausted for weeks and had no idea why.

I had mono in the 5th grade. everyone called it the kissing disease and I was teased relentlessly about that.

What is "mono"? Why does it seemingly only occur to characters in American films, yet I've never heard the term being used in Australia?

Anyway, I've Googled and found the answer is we call it glandular fever, which is certainly something I'm familiar with, so there you go.

I'm never calling it anything but mono from now on.

Here we call it Mononukleose or Kyssesyke (Kissing Sickness).

It matters because most Americans retirement funds are backed by stocks in Dow. Swings like this erase tens of billions from peoples savings. downward streaks in the Dow tend to crush incumbents in elections

Saw a tweet from Donald from years back saying if the Dow Jones (he speller it joans) falls below 1000 the president should be fired from a canon into the sun

His base are gonna take this hit too surely so maybe there’s an upside
