Winston isn't going to be able to do much with that crappy OL.
Yeah, that's the very minimum I'm looking at if I'm TB. But I'd push really hard for at least one more high (like a 2 this year or next year) pick. Probably two more high picks.
unless it is trading down to #2 then i wouldnt take less then 2 first rounders and 2 2nd rounders, and if it was back into the mid teens it would have to be at least 3 first and 3 2nd rounders

me too, and he was the 35th over all pick when he was drafted, so one away from the same spot. that give me a reason to hope the Bucs dont use that pick to move back into the first round lol

so it sounds like even though most of the talk is about teams trading up to #2 to take Mariota, there have been a lot of calls to the Bucs to see if they would be willing to trade out of #1, i dont really like the idea but i wonder what it would take to get the Bucs to pull the trigger.

i might be ok if San Diego wanted to give Rivers, this years 1 and next years 1 and 2 with maybe a few late round picks thrown in, but it would have to have Rivers agreeing to play in Tampa for at least a few more years.

but i would prefer if somehow they did trade down it was only to #2 so they could still get one of the QBs but no idea how they could pull that one off, maybe pre draft Philly trades up to #2 then the Bucs Announce intentions to draft Mariota #1 and philly freaks and trades up to #1, but i have no idea what they would have left to give at that point

I read somewhere that the Bucs recently have asked Winston on numerous occasions who would be moving to/living with him wherever he got drafted. Essentially, who, other than family, will be in his entourage. So sounds like they still have some reservations about him. Maybe they will trade out.

they are definitely doing everything to make themselves comfortable with him if they do take him. i wonder if their possible uneasiness still with Winston will keep a trade from happening for #2 before the draft actually starts. im sure there would be a lot of teams that would still be interested in taking Winston #2 but the main ones trying to move up i think would be disappointed if Mariota was gone, but it would be awesome if the Eagles made a trade to get to #2 say tonight, and then Thursday night the Bucs take Mariota instead

I would love so much for something like that to happen. Just for the pure humor of it all.

Just heard a Bucs reporter in Tampa on the radio. He said his "sources" tell him there is a reason they kept Glennon. Either it is that Lovie actually sees something in him or they are going to trade him.

im fully expecting a trade, hopefully for a 3rd rounder or possibly to help them move up at some point, but i am worried about the fact they havent signed anyone else yet, maybe waiting for some guys to get cut, possibly Matt Barkley or someone like that, but i would prefer a Vet back up with a Rookie starter.

here is my current dream scenario for the draft. sometime before thursday night philly pulls the trigger on a 3 way deal where they trade bradford to cleveland for clevelands late first rounder, then trades that pick and their first rounder plus fletcher cox and mycal kendicks to tennessee for the #2 pick. then as soon as the trade is announced Tampa starts publicly saying that they plan to draft Mariota causing Philly to panic and and ship next years first and possibly a mid to late round pick this year to the Bucs to move up to #1 and tampa drafts Winston like they were probably planing on all along. it will never happen but it would be awesome

Bucs looking to trade up into the late 1st round for another pick.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could make Florida State Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston the first pick in the draft and trade to acquire another first-round pick later Thursday night.

According to a source, the Bucs are talking to multiple teams looking to move out of the late first round in exchange for Tampa Bay's pick in the second round -- No. 34 overall, which is the second pick Friday night.

It is not known what else the Bucs would be required to offer a team to move.

Any trade likely would be made on the clock so Tampa Bay and the other team know which players are available. Pass-rushers Randy Gregory and Shane Ray could fall to the bottom of the first round or lower because of incidents involving marijuana.

The Bucs consider acquiring a pass-rusher a priority in this draft.

they've been trying to trade Glennon for a year now. he's garbage. Good college QB and nothing more. The pro game is just too fast for him.
