Is he?? I thought he was considered one of the greats?

I think he takes some hits because of his film choices trending toward popcorn blockbuster instead of more “actorly” roles. Case in point: he chose to do K-19 instead of Traffic (the Michael Douglas role). He could easily have multiple Oscars if he’d made different choices but I think he’s probably had a lot of fun taking the path he did.

Quite disappointed with this movie. Had great hopes for it when it started, but it ended up being fairly mediocre. Nevertheless, it did have a lot of action scenes, and looked like an expensive production. I was entertained the way I can typically be for a big blockbuster (MCU-like movie). The story was really weak, the CGI excessive, and with the time travel in the end, it was even corny.
