Yes but not a hastily cobbled together live album.Ms Harmless wrote:never heard them, should I?Buby wrote:Harm, I find your lack of Me First And The Gimme Gimmes disturbing.Ms Harmless wrote:today: The Decemberists, Kneecap (album slaps), Ulcerate (Blackened death doomy metal)

Re: Albums of 2024
I don't have any real reason to think this is their final record, but it does sort of have the same career retrospective vibe that Collapse Into Now has. I really love how all over the map it is while still feeling totally cohesive. It's a strong collection of songs that I can't wait to get to know better.Ms Harmless wrote:I listened to a few, obviously enjoyed, will finish it this weekend; I'm going to an anime con with the bf tomorrow, he's a big old weebepilogue wrote:The new Decemberists is everything I wanted.
Have fun at the con!

Re: Albums of 2024
I think it's a fun one. But I know I'm biased, because San Diego is 10 minutes away, and they threw in a mariachi with a couple of Mexican classics.oasisfan35 wrote:Yes but not a hastily cobbled together live album.Ms Harmless wrote:never heard them, should I?Buby wrote:Harm, I find your lack of Me First And The Gimme Gimmes disturbing.Ms Harmless wrote:today: The Decemberists, Kneecap (album slaps), Ulcerate (Blackened death doomy metal)

The new Idles record is really good. The new Future Islands is great.

The guy in VOLA plays a Warwick Streamer. Accept no substitute.

Re: Albums of 2024
I liked the Future Islands album about as much as I liked their other albums-- which is to say, 2-3 songs are keepers, the rest I will probably never listen to again

Re: Albums of 2024
If the rest of the record is of similar quality to the two singles then this will be a very solid release indeed.psychobain wrote:

I agree, they are yet to make an absolutely compelling album but this one comes pretty close.Jorge wrote:I liked the Future Islands album about as much as I liked their other albums-- which is to say, 2-3 songs are keepers, the rest I will probably never listen to again
