Thunderclap?
Left it out on purpose. Nice piece, but a little long and rambling, and plus I wanted this to fit on a typical disc. 5:00+ for Thunderclap was just too much
I think I did this once and Thunderclap still fit with all the other songs. It was a long time ago though maybe I remember wrong.
Edit: you know what I don't think I included Drifting and Tribe that must be why it fit.

Yes, with some changes it could have been mindblowingly awesome*, but as it is that run of songs from lightyears to parting ways is still an unparalleled run of songs for me.
*it is a little depressing just how awesome it could have been. Add sad, fatal and education , minus gods dice, evacuation and thin air( too happy, maybe), shuffle a little and *chills*
Or hell just throw em all on there, could have worked.
Most albums can be greatly improved by eliminating their weakest tracks and replacing them with better songs
Sure. People always say Binaural missed the mark, or was a lost opportunity and try to retrack it and what have you. I was saying i love it even without doing that, but acknowledging that it could have been even better if you did.

Ive always considered it one of my least favorite albums from the band... yet I love it.
I actually like the softer side of it better, Light Years and Nothing As It Seems being my favorites from the album.
I feel that the first 3 songs are their weakest way to open an album (though I like those, especially God's dice), Soon Forget just sounds like a cheaper version of Blue Red & Gray by the Who. And I used to dislike Sleight of hand a lot (I know people love that one) but it has grown on me especially because of the chorus.
Despite those details, I really like the album so 4 stars for me.

Sleight of Hand is probably the best song the band has ever written.

It's definitely the most intriguing for me.

Light Years is OK
Nothing As It Seems is OK
Of The Girl is OK
Parting Ways is OK
The rest I skip. I barely listen to Binaural and when I do it sort of passes by without leaving any kind of imprint.

In theory I understand. There's basically 5 songs on this album I feel like listening to. But you listed the wrong songs.

Guys we have scientific evidence.

Binaural
Good/Great: 7 (nothing as it seems, insignificance, of the girl, grievance, rival, sleight of hand, parting ways)
Bad: 0
No consensus: 5 (light years, breakerfall, thin air, god's dice, evacuation, soon forget)
