Doesn't look like it. I have to go visit my friend in Queens. He's out of the hospital and doing well. Then, I'm not 100% sure, but I think the wife has booked us to go over to another friend's house to watch the debates.
If that doesn't happen (fingers crossed) I'll watch it. But it doesn't look good for tonight.

This sick friend of yours is really starting to mess up your movie viewing, joey.

Yeah, not to mention the actually sick friend in Queens, let alone the mentally sick ones that want to watch the debates

I need to watch this again. Though all the performances are rather wooden. Apart from Groot

Watched this last night. Enjoyed it quite a bit. It's flawed and probably not as good as I was expecting given how much love it gets. But it was a lot of fun. And I think a pretty successful example of a comic book adaptation to film. Definitely ranks among the top of the Marvel films.
If we don't get a new Howard the Duck movie, I'm gonna be pissed.

He's great. I thought the whole cast did a good job, actually. Somehow del Toro is the least interesting. But he isn't given a ton, either.

You are out of your goddamn mind. Del Toro acts circles around everyone else in that movie.

Yeah, I'm with L V on this one.

But you guys look at performances in a very different way than I do. Even with that in mind, though, I completely disagree. He's got one scene that he does virtually nothing with. If changing a vocal cadence and looking sideways is good acting, then yeah, he deserves an oscar.

they could have replaced him with any number of actors and the film wouldnt have missed a beat
the only good thing about del toros part was that it explained the celestials and the infinity stones

Exactly. That's the best way to put it, really. Del Toro wasn't bad. He just didn't bring anything to the part. It could have been anyone. Del Toro was wasted. Which is a shame because he's so fucking great.

Um... And Howard the Duck!

while i liked it there was just something off about howard. he should have been a bit fatter, he seemed like a duck on crack or meth, if there ever were a duck on crack or meth

But that made sense given how all the other creatures in the collection looked.

So your real beef with del Toro was that he undernourished creatures in his collection?
