I'm pretty sure that is correct, the Madseason will be available again soon, I am wondering if it will still be on purple vinyl.

I went to Newbury Comics and there was a line out the door about 20 people deep, so I just turned around and went home. The only thing I really wanted was the Mad Season reissue. I'm going to go tomorrow and see if they have anything left. I wish I still lived in CT, the NC down there would have most of the RSD stuff a week later.

When I went to check out the scraps from RSD I browsed some Tom Waits.....Mule Variations was sitting there, calling my name, but for some reason I walked out of the store without it. I think its because I was hungry....

Pictur ein a frame and Georgia Lee ....they sound so perfect. You can hear his shirt buttons hitting the piano as he moves across the keys and it just gives it this extra dimension.

Now if only Stereo would be put to vinyl :(

I dont think Paul gives a shit :(. God, I'd love to sit him down and explain to him that Stereo/Mono is his best work since the beginning. Rivals and surpasses anything by the replacements...

I do hope to get the Songs for Slim EP on vinyl soon though!

for rsd i got blind melon, gary clark jr, the mystery 7", phish, pink floyd, r.e.m., roky erickson, south park 7", trey, no alternative, garbage, trashmen, and nick drake. also bought a shirt from one store and picked up the new flaming lips and graveyard's hsingen blues. spendy day. also also got to see the black angels do an in-store performance. then got to party up for my birthday before going to the black angels actual show that night.

i didn't get dmb's live trax but didn't really try either- i didn't bother waiting in any line. but found most everything else i wanted. only other things missed were dazed & confused, sigur ros, puscifer, and page mcconnell.

a friend of mine bought this album for me sound unheard, because of the cover:
Image

i have no idea what is on it (looks like devendra banhart is involved though, and i like him, so...) or what to expect on that one.

all in all a great day despite the fact that the rsd process overall is frustrating.

If people are still looking for the Sigur Ros RSD release from last year, it looks like it's going to get repressed this June: http://www.shopradiocast.com/products/S ... -2XLP.html

When they did a reddit AMA a couple of months ago, they promised to work on the lack of vinyl issue. Both Ágætis Byrjun and ( ) got re-released in the UK this year as wide releases, so fingers crossed that they'll be coming to the US soon.

Ordered the Sub Pop 1000 comp from their site. Looks like a good one.

Dusty Groove cancelled the Codeine order, bummer.

Finally! Amazon e-mailed me to say my replacement copy of Nick Cave &TBS's "Push the Sky Away" should arrive next Tuesday...only a month and a half late! But I'm excited.

Other pre-orders on their way soon-ish:

4/30 - Songs: Ohia - "Hecla & Griper"
5/21 - The National - "Trouble Will Find Me"
6/4 - Sigur Ros - "Hvarf/Heim"
6/18 - Sigur Ros - "Kveikur"

For those who are interested, the Mad Season LP is now available at Soundstage Direct. Haven't seen it anywhere else yet, so I ordered it from there and will get it someplace else only if it's significantly lower in price.

Thinking about ordering some hank williams on vinyl and the new phosphorescent. Something about listening to old honky tonk country on vinyl....

and the new Posph. album is brilliant and beautiful.
