seems about right. also, i've been thinking about the plane crash from season 2... not sure why, i just have.
Subliminal manipulation? There was a scene in the first episode of this half-season where Walt pulls up to his house and there is a plane flying over it in the framed into the shot.

Pure Speculation:
I wonder if Walt's play is going to be 'Hank was in on it all the whole time'. Hank took money from Walt for his medical expenses. Hank has all the evidence from the Heisenberg case in his possession w/o clear explanation as to why he wanted it. Plus, as Hank said, he would look ridiculous for not noticing what was happening right underneath his nose.

What's truly great here is that I'm not seeing an obvious path towards the 'flash forwards' we have been shown and the plot is not in a situation like Lost or BSG where they can pull the old 'crazy sci-fi magic' card to get us there. Hopefully they will finally get the Best Drama Emmy this year because it's been far better than Homeland and Mad Men is just played out at this point.

I thought that scene was really good, even though I have never been a fan of either Anna Gunn or Betsy Brandt. Skylar's choices touching her family similar to the way Walt's have.
Good post.

Great episode. And yeah, Dean Norris is owning these first two episodes so far-- that scene in the diner...he was barely keeping it together. He is revealing himself to be the Anti-Walt-- I think he will steamroll anybody to get him at this point; I mean, telling his sister-in-law she doesn't need a lawyer? And the scene where Hank and Marie are back in their car after failing to get Holly out of the house...tense.

And as for next week:
Spoiler: show
If Jesse's gonna flip, who all is he going to take down? Obviously, since these are the two FBI agents that showed up when Brock was in the hospital, the ricin conversation is going to come back up, so I've got to assume the Brock story will finally come to light. But still, the ricin's obviously still in play after this plays out, since Walt retrieves it last episode from behind the outlet plate...so does Jesse give up Saul? That's the only guy I can think of that Jesse has access to who might be able to tie Walt to all this now. Unless of course, Brock shows up and somehow testifies, and we find out exactly how Walt gave him the poison to begin with. I'm thinking that's the one, but Brock didn't seem to recognize Walt in that episode last season. So I don't know.

That being said, without Brock, is simply having the money enough, evidence-wise, for Hank to have a case? I'm no cop.

I think it's highly unlikely that Jesse gives up Saul since Vince Gilligan confirmed they're trying to produce a Better Call Saul spinoff.

If they can keep this pace and momentum this season is going to be legendary.

Skyler's always taken way too much shit from the fan community at large.

i know i've come around on her over the last two seasons.

if jesse helps hank's investigation, i'll come around on him too.

walt & hank still seem like the same people (as i've discussed previously).

i was underwhelmed by last nights episode. possibly because its hard to follow up the end of the first.
i feel like nothing really happened until the last 10 minutes.
